London to Bath
The brief
With its mix of city and countryside, Bath is the perfect place for Londoners to relocate. Recently, Richard was recommended by an estate agent to a family moving from Putney who were looking for a large Georgian townhouse, close to Bath’s centre, but not too far from the railway station or school. They had sold their house in London and were eager to find somewhere as soon as possible.
The outcome
Despite appearances, high quality Georgian townhouses are pretty rare and incredibly sought after; a good one will often produce multiple offers and one needs to be able to move quickly when the opportunity arises. We do not like competitive situations, nor do our clients, which is why, three weeks into the search, we were pleased to be contacted by one of Richard’s old clients who was considering selling the townhouse that he’d helped him to buy a few years before. Within days, Richard was able to introduce both parties and successful terms were agreed off market.
